Sharing the Terry Fox Story
Terry Fox, a Canadian athlete, who suffered from bone cancer and had one of his legs amputated because of it, started the “Marathon of Hope” run to raise funds for cancer research. In his memory the “Terry Fox Run” is held all over the world every year to raise funds for cancer research; this year Chennai witnessed its first ever “Terry fox Run”.
Peter Bremberg, from the Capital team, took part in the run and was quoted in “The Hindu”.
“…It is probably only because of the attention that Terry Fox’s marathon of hope generated and the subsequent funding for research that I’m standing here today. Terry Fox’s story should be shared.“
