Earth Hour, a WWF initiative where homes and businesses turn their lights off for one hour to make their stand against climate change, enters its third year on 27th March. Last year over 4000 cities in 88 countries officially switched off to pledge their support for the movement.
The Samarthan club of IFMR B-School is observing Earth Hour at the campus through a series of events to mark the occasion.

Earth Hour: 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM Local Time, Saturday, 27 March 2010.

Abhyudaya means ‘the rising sun or the beginning’ in Sanskrit, a concept that gels perfectly with the philosophy of continuous improvement; which in essence the IFMR B-School would radiate through its annual management festival “Abhyudaya ‘10” on Feb 20–21, 2010 at its campus.
In its fifth edition, the festival involves a myriad of events that would fancy both the students and corporate participants. Some of the events include ‘Nirvah’, the flagship event, which is a marathon of events with twists and turns, testing the managerial persona of the participants in different situations. Another event, ‘Adhikoshna’, is a bank simulation game, where one needs to showcase their financial acumen.
The festival brings together talent from across the country for two days of intense competition and learning. With confirmed participation from some of the premier B-Schools in the country the festival looks set to be an exciting affair.
